First, I would like to point out that trying to do these postings by dates has gotten very confusing. I am no longer sure which dates go with which week from the course. Therefore, I have decided to change the names for my pages, to match the week of the course. To borrow from this weeks videos, I have adapted to the new technology.
I APPRECIATE THE EFFORTS YOU MADE. I THINK THE ENTIRE 'SYSTEM" HAS BROKEN DOWN AS THE DUE DATES AND DEADLINES HAVE STEADILY CHANGED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE COURSE. i'M GLAD YOU DID WHAT YOU COULD TO MAKE THINGS SENSIBLE FOR YOURSELF.
I found the URL link about TPACK to be only slightly helpful. The general concept of overlapping content and pedagogy with technology would apply to many other areas as well. YES- TO BEGIN WITH WHEN LEE SHULMAN (PRESIDENT OF THE CARNEGIE FOUNDATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF TEACHING) DEVELOPED THE ACROYNMS THERE WAS ONLY CK AND PK AND PCK THEN TECHOLOGY CAME ALONG AND THERE WAS A NEED TO CONSIDER HOW TECHNOLOGY GOT INTEGRATED INTO EVERYTHING ELSE anD WAS ITS OWN "CONTENT" AS WELL.
I think this is something most good teachers do, without really thinking about it in great detail. I also found the number of links to be overwhelming. I felt like I could go on forever with the concept. However, when I watched the videos, it made the whole process more clear (I have only watched 1 and 2 so far). I found the videos to be very good. I really liked the Steven Colbert "The Word" format. It helped make the information more interesting to watch. I also liked the quote from Plato, which put into perspective that we have always faced change, and at least some resistance to it. I also really liked the fact that the two presenters were up front about the

difficulties faced by teachers as we try to implement more technologies with our content and pedagogy. I think the key for our success is going to be creativity and flexibility. Obviously things are never going to go exactly as we would like. We will need to look at these as just other challenges we need to overcome to be successful.
This week my team and I worked on our needs assessment gaps, as we begin to think about our plan. I think this will be the most difficult, but hopefully the most fulfilling part of the course. If we work hard to make sure our plan is well thought-out, and realistic, I think we will be happy with our results next year.
On Friday we had an un-expected day off, as President Obama came to Elyria for a town hall meeting. Although I did not attend the meeting, it was still rather exciting to have a sitting President visit our town. Have a good week.
